A Seasonal London Wedding
As you all know we simply love a London wedding at Amanda Austin Flowers, and Louise and Cy’s seasonal autumn wedding was one of our favourites of 2015. Here we are sharing a selection of photos from the day, with all photography by Fiona Kelly. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have!
Louise chose a beautifully classic bouquet of Roses, Snowflake Spray Roses and Madame Bombastic Roses. The soft peachy tones were the perfect complement to her bridesmaids’ dresses and their matching bouquets. The wedding took place on the first weekend of October so we gave each bouquet an autumnal twist with sprigs of pink Snowberry.
The ceremony took place at St Clement Danes Church on The Strand, which is a truly breathtaking venue. Its aisle is rather well known as the pews can be moved in and out to make it wider. As the central church of the RAF it was also a particularly special venue for the bride and her father.
We decorated the entrance with a floral arch full of fresh greenery and seasonal flowers. These included Café Au Lait Dahlia, green Hydrangeas, Snowberries and Madame Bombastic Roses to match Louise’s bouquet. Large urns overflowing with Hydrangeas, Roses and berries could be found inside. We included white Delphinium and Eucalyptus to give these a greater sense of height, where we felt that this was needed to fill the space most beautifully.
Later that day dinner and (a lot of) dancing took place down the road at Bloomsbury Ballroom. The arrangements here varied in size and height, from large statement bowls right down to simple cups of Echo Champagne Lisianthus and single Dahlias. We particularly loved the combination of textures in these arrangements, which you can see in the photos below.
