A Somerset House Wedding
We always love reminiscing about our favourite weddings and this is certainly one of them. St Bartholomew’s in Smithfield followed by dinner and dancing at Somerset House, can London get any more romantic?! We have so enjoyed browsing through the photographs, scroll down to see them for yourself.
Susannah and Adrian chose a delicate white theme with touches of wild flowers throughout. We crafted the bridal bouquet from Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Asparagus fern and beautiful Bouvardia. Hints of Stephanotis matched the flowers in Susannah’s hair. It was a rainy summer’s day but the couple styled it out, splashing across the cobbles to greet the guests with a kiss from the balcony.
The bridesmaids carried soft pink bouquets of scented Freesia and Sweet Peas. They were the perfect touch of colour in an understated theme. Flashes of green matched the boys’ ties and Adrian and his gang wore simple buttonholes of cream Freesia.
We prepared the Seamen’s Hall at Somerset House early in the morning. Low table centrepieces and silver mint julep cups were brimming with country style flowers. Hydrangeas, Sweet Peas, Dill, Marjoram and September Daisies were the flowers of choice. They smelt and looked wonderful and the dusky shades were relaxed, summery and romantic.
It was a pleasure to put together the flowers for Susannah and Adrian and it’s always a treat to see photographs after the big day.
